Monthly Compassion Circles
Feeling the need for connection & community? Why not come & join a small group of friendly souls who gather monthly (usually on a Thursday) at Better Days Cafe in Ventnor, Isle of Wight, to learn from each other how we can be compassionate to ourselves & others.
Sessions last an hour (or so) & include guided meditation, discussions on own experiences of compassion & pair work to learn how to really listen to each other with our hearts.
What is a Compassion Circle?
A Compassion Circle is a space within a community where people come together to feel a sense of connection, care, and belonging. It is not affiliated with any religion or political beliefs and is intended to be inclusive. Compassion Circles are an initiative of Global Compassion Coalition, a global movement of compassion researchers, trainers, and activists working to spread and embed compassionate thinking, feeling, and action.
This is an open group so it's not necessary to have attended previous sessions. That said, it will be helpful to know in advance who will be attending. Please email wightcompassioncircle@gmail.com if you are attending or if you have any questions.
This event is offered free of charge but any voluntary donations to Better days, a community cafe supporting and staffed by people with learning difficulties and disabilities, are gratefully received.
Next Compassion Circle is Thursday 23rd April at 6pm at Better Days in Ventnor. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before start time as the doors will be locked at 6pm.
